God Theyyam Forms
ദൈവം
Male divine forms in the Theyyam tradition include manifestations of Vishnu, Shiva, and other pan-Hindu deities reinterpreted through the unique ritual lens of North Malabar. These forms often blend Brahmanical and Dravidian traditions, creating distinctly Theyyam expressions of male divinity — more fierce, more elemental, more directly connected to the land than their Sanskritic counterparts. In their Theyyam form, these gods come to earth, speak, bless, and curse through the body of the koladhari.
